# Roles and responsibilities

Each role has a defined part in a facility's operation. Facility role holders are named in its agreement. Lenders participate through their own wallets and may authorize delegates.

## Facility roles

### Admin

The Admin configures facility terms within platform bounds, including deposit limits, rates, epoch length and compounding periods. Some terms apply immediately; others apply from the next epoch or a scheduled time. [Facility terms, limits and fees](/platform/facility-terms.md) explains when each change applies.

### Curator

The Curator operates Epochs settlement, declares variable yield within the epoch's locked range, executes Continuous withdrawals and funds owed value from facility cash. Execution and funding credit lenders' claimable balances.

### Redemption operator

A Continuous facility's Redemption operator executes queued withdrawals at the current share price using facility cash or cash it supplies. Supplied cash is recorded as repayment, and the requesting lender receives a claimable balance.

A withdrawal is funded only when the facility holds cash to fund it, normally from borrower repayment.

## Platform roles

### Safety Operator

The Safety Operator is a platform-level role responsible for safety controls.

### Approved-address registry authority

The approved-address registry authority records and removes wallet approvals. Each facility applies its own eligibility checks to participant actions.

## Borrower wallets

### Borrower receiving wallet (Borrower funds)

The borrower receiving wallet receives principal delivered by the facility. It may also be the borrower repayment wallet. Both wallets are screened at appointment.

### Borrower repayment wallet (Borrower ops)

The borrower repayment wallet is the published wallet for repayment. Any other eligible payer may also repay under the facility's state and eligibility rules.

### Liquidity sleeve receiver

The Admin configures a receiver per Continuous facility. When configured with a positive split, it receives the configured part of each principal delivery. The receiver is screened and must differ from the borrower receiving wallet and Redemption operator.

## Lenders and delegates

### Lender

A lender holds shares, pending deposits, withdrawal requests and claimable balances. Subject to the facility's state, terms, operating status and eligibility checks, a lender can:

* Deposit in Open, outside settlement.
* Cancel a pending deposit in full, or in part leaving at least the minimum deposit, outside settlement.
* Request a withdrawal in Open or Winding down and reduce or cancel its own request, outside settlement.
* Claim any positive amount up to its claimable balance after activation, including during settlement, to itself or another eligible receiver.
* Convert unpaid withdrawals into shares at the recovery conversion price and make recovery claims in In recovery.
* Authorize a delegate and revoke that authorization at any time.

[Eligibility, compliance and agreements](/getting-started/compliance-perimeter.md) explains screening at deposits, withdrawal requests and payouts.

### Delegate

A delegate acts on its authorizing lender's deposits, withdrawal requests and claims, including recovery claims, under the same eligibility and state requirements. The facility checks the delegate at authorization and each time it acts.

The delegate can name only the lender as receiver, and refunds and payouts stay attributed to the lender.
